Labels that actually mean something
Look for third-party certification with published criteria: Green Seal, EPA Safer Choice and EU Ecolabel each audit ingredients, packaging and manufacturing. A genuine program names its certifications on the quote — not just on the spray bottle.
The system matters more than the soap
Most chemical waste comes from over-dosing, not from the formula. Closed-loop dilution stations, microfiber systems that cut chemical use, and battery equipment with HEPA filtration do more for air quality than any single 'plant-based' label.
